Introducing Delivery Tracking for Customers
We are excited to announce a brand new feature for Pro Delivery Manager. The latest update now provides a method for sending a delivery tracking link to your customers by email or text message. The tracking link takes a customer to a mobile-friendly web page that shows allows them to track the progress of their delivery (see the sample screen shots below).
You have the option to show any or all of the following information on the customer tracking page:
- Branch / depot contact details
- Progress of delivery (current status etc.)
- Courier's name / contact details
- Estimated time of delivery*
- Name of person who signed for delivery
- Signature of recipient
- Courier notes
- Current location of courier (on map)
See the "Tracking Link" settings page under "Settings" > "Deliveries" in the PDM admin system to configure the above options.
Sending tracking links to your customers
Tracking links can be included in any of the email or SMS notifications that PDM sends to your customers. You can edit the notifications via the "Settings" module in the PDM admin system. Use the "Insert a placeholder" drop-down box to insert the "Tracking link" into the notification.
