New version with barcode scanner released

As explained in our last blog post, we have been developing a new version of our prescription delivery app that has a built-in barcode scanner for scanning non-ETP prescription barcodes.

We are pleased to announce that the upgrade is now complete and the new version is available on Google Play for download.

This new version is version number 1.3.1. If you have an older version of the app already installed on your Android device, you should be able to update it in the usual way. If you are not able to update the app for some reason, please try uninstalling the app and reinstall from Google Play. Please note that the barcode scanner requires a front-facing camera, so if your device does not have one, you may not be able to upgrade to this version.

This feature of the app is also very useful for dispensary staff. Please see our new "how to" article about this.

Whilst adding the barcode scanner to the app we also took the opportunity to make a few other improvements. These include an improved layout for some screens and the ability for approved couriers to schedule deliveries for other couriers in your account.

This update is only available for the Android platform. If you are interested in using the barcode scanner in the iOS version, please get in touch. If there is enough interest, we will consider adding this functionality to the iOS version.
