PMR integration (pharmacy only)

  1. Make sure that the cursor is in the Quick search box within PDM Web before scanning. The Quick Search box can be found at the top of every page view of PDM Web.
  2. You will need a secondary scanner to scan the barcode produced by PSL.
If you do not have a spare, we can recommend this one: Amazon UK - Eyoyo Handheld Barcode Scanner
  3. Make sure that the secondary barcode scanner is calibrated correctly.
If the secondary 2D scanner is an old one provided by PSL, then it will need recalibrating.
You can contact PSL support if they supplied the scanner and they’ll send a sheet with some QR codes to scan to recalibrate and it will then read the code.

Unlike other PMRs, RxWeb is not fully integrated with PDM.
We have been able to activate a serial barcode solution; a barcode containing the NHS number of a customer is produced on the bag label which can then be scanned into PDM.
The NHS number must be present in the PDM database. This means that NHS numbers need to be added to customer records to use the barcode to find patients.

If this has been done, and the barcode is still not scanning, please make sure that the cursor is in the Quick search box within PDM Web before scanning. The Quick Search box can be found at the top of every page view of PDM Web.

Please be aware that to be able to use this solution, the “Send to PDM” button within eMessages has to be present. If this is missing, please contact Cegedim support or your account manager.
